We have an exciting opportunity for an inspirational Head of Faculty to lead this highly committed, experienced and hard-working faculty. Within the faculty we have a Head of Biology and a Head of Physics working alongside key stage co-ordinators. The successful candidate will lead, develop and manage the effective delivery of all three sciences to enable the highest levels of student progress and attainment.
This post is suitable for an experienced teacher with management experience. The successful candidate will be expected to teach across the age and ability range including A Level and must have proven success across the key stages. The sciences are a very popular A Level choices and a significant number of our students progress to science-based courses at university.
Our Science Faculty is well resourced with suites of laboratories, preparation rooms and specialist technicians. As a school with a specialism in science, you will have access to a range of exciting activities and wider STEM initiatives. The successful candidate will want to bring their passion and enthusiasm for science to encourage, motivate and engage our students and continue to raise standards in this high performing faculty.
Staff morale is high at Great Baddow High School; we have an excellent induction programme and a commitment to professional development for all staff. All teaching staff are provided with a laptop and ongoing CPD.
Our oversubscribed school once again achieved a ‘GOOD’ rating in its Ofsted inspection in June 2022 and we have a commitment to supporting students in developing as well-rounded individuals as well as achieving their academic potential.
